In The Groove 3 is a spiritual successor of the second game in the series (In The Groove 2), and a rendition of a cancelled, official sequel.
ITG 3 is an interesting project; it's original intention was to create a faithful recreation of a cancelled arcade project, and it also aimed to increase usability and add features that a modern take on the series would have. Originally, the basis for the project was an official sequel, however due to complications, the entire project was halted. The current release is a fan-made rendition based on one officially released image, and a very outdated flash mockup.
What you see above is work that was done to provide a version of the game closest to what it would have been had the original project not been cancelled. It eventually caught the attention of the original creators of the game, and they provided insight as to what would have been featured, and I created and implemented those thing appropriately. My work involved creating each separate UI element, animation, and 3D model, and individually implementing them in-engine.
